The National Predoctoral Clinical Research Training Program Meeting will feature both oral presentations and poster sessions showcasing research projects by trainees and fellows in predoctoral clinical research training programs from across the country. Participants will be afforded the opportunity to share their research with a larger audience and to be critiqued by their mentors, colleagues and peers.
All CTSA Predoctoral Program trainees and Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellows are cordially invited to submit an abstract regardless of whether or not they plan to attend the National Meeting. Those that plan to attend the meeting will be considered for a poster or oral presentation on May 11, 12 or 13, and should prepare and submit their abstract with this possibility in mind. We are aware there may be some schedule conflicts due to this being graduation week at some schools. Please have your program director or administrator contact Joe Wilson, jawilson@dom.wustl.edu, ASAP with any special scheduling requests, and we will make every effort to accommodate your program.
Please note that methods and levels of participation in the National Meeting will vary by program. Some programs require trainees and fellows to submit an abstract, while others are simply invited and encouraged. Please confirm your expected level of participation with the appropriate leaders within your program. ONLY ONE ABSTRACT PER TRAINEE OR FELLOW WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR PUBLICATION AND PRESENTATION.
IMPORTANT: YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT TO YOUR OWN PROGRAM DIRECTOR, PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR, PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR, MENTOR, OR OTHER DESIGNATED INTERMEDIARY FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL PRIOR TO SENDING YOUR ABSTRACT TO THE NATIONAL MEETING FOR PUBLICATION. The abstract that we receive from you will be published AS RECEIVED. We are not responsible for catching data errors, misspellings, or proofreading of any kind.
DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION TO JAWILSON@DOM.WUSTL.EDU IS 12:00 P.M. CST WEDNESDAY, APRIL 13, 2011.
Program leaders will evaluate submitted abstracts BEFORE they are sent to us, and will make recommendations regarding oral and poster presentation selection. For this reason, it is imperative that your abstract be reviewed WITHIN YOUR OWN PROGRAM prior to submission to us. You will be notified ASAP regarding poster and oral presentation selection, tentatively by Monday, April 22nd, 2011. Our selection announcement deadline is dependent on trainees and fellows meeting the abstract submission deadline.
Abstracts THAT HAVE BEEN REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY YOUR PROGRAM LEADERS must be submitted to Joe Wilson jawilson@dom.wustl.edu by 12:00 p.m. CST on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 13, 2011. This deadline is FIRM.
When you submit your abstract, please indicate whether or not you plan to attend the National Meeting. If for some reason you plan to attend the meeting but do not wish to be considered for a poster or oral presentation, you must confirm this with your program leaders and ask them to let us know ASAP.
Please adhere carefully to the abstract submission instructions (coming soon). Please contact Joe Wilson jawilson@dom.wustl.edu with any questions regarding abstract submissions.
IMPORTANT: IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION WITHIN TWO BUSINESS DAYS, YOUR ABSTRACT MAY NOT HAVE BEEN RECEIVED. Please contact Joe Wilson jawilson@dom.wustl.edu if you do not receive confirmation that your submitted abstract was received.
